Randy Couture - American Sportsman, Wrestler, Actor
Randy Couture is an American sportsman, wrestler, and actor. He was also a former five-time champion of the American "Ultimate Fighting Championship" (UFC) in the heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions.

Early Life and Wrestling Career
Couture was born in Lynnwood, Washington. He began wrestling while in college and participated in the state championship, where he emerged victorious. During his military service from 1982 to 1988, Randy pursued boxing.

Transition to Mixed Martial Arts
Later, Couture decided to try his hand at mixed martial arts and won the UFC 13 tournament in 1997. In the same year, he became the first heavyweight champion of the UFC after defeating Maurice Smith. He briefly left the UFC to join the Japanese organization "Rings" but returned in 2000. After a match with Kevin Randleman, Couture became the heavyweight champion once again.
Champion in Two Weight Categories
Couture successfully defended his title against Pedro Rizzo but lost it after a fight with Josh Barnett, who tested positive for banned substances. In the vacant title fight against Rico Rodriguez, Couture suffered another defeat and decided to move to a lower weight category. He defeated Chuck Liddell for the interim championship belt and, in September 2003, defeated Tito Ortiz to become the first UFC fighter to hold titles in two weight categories.
Final Fights and Retirement
In 2005, Couture faced Liddell again but was knocked out. In February 2006, he had a third match against Liddell, which also ended in a stoppage. After these fights, Randy announced his retirement. However, he soon returned to the octagon to face the taller, heavier, and 15 years younger heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia in March 2007. Despite being 43 years old, Couture dominated the fight and became a five-time UFC champion, a first in the sport.
Personal Life and Acting Career
Couture has been married three times. He married Sharon and Trisha before marrying Kim Holderman. Randy has three children - sons Ryan and Caden, daughter Amy, and also an adopted son. In addition to his sports career, Couture has appeared in several Hollywood films, including "Big Stan" and "The Scorpion King 2". He is the only athlete in UFC history to become a champion after being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, as well as the oldest titleholder in the history of both the UFC and mixed martial arts in general.
