Ray Emery was a professional Canadian ice hockey goaltender who made his mark in both the NHL and KHL.
Early Career and NHL Draft
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Emery was a highly regarded prospect who was selected 99th overall in the 4th round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators.
Ottawa Senators Tenure
From 2003 to 2008, Emery showcased his exceptional skills as a goalie for the Senators.
International Experience
In the 2008/09 season, Emery ventured to Russia to play for HC Atlant.
Return to the NHL
After his stint in Europe, Emery returned to the NHL with stints for the Philadelphia Flyers, Anaheim Ducks, and Chicago Blackhawks. In 2012/13, he formed a formidable goalie duo with Corey Crawford in Chicago, helping the team to victory in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
