The Buffalo Whisperer: The Unusual Life of RC Bridges
RC Bridges, also known as the Buffalo Whisperer, is a Texan cowboy who has gained fame for living in a house with two buffalos. These massive animals roam freely through his living room and even enter the kitchen, much to the delight of RC and his wife. RC Bridges resides in Texas, and his friends and acquaintances affectionately call him the Buffalo Whisperer.
A Unique Bond with Wildthing
RC Bridges used to have a large herd of buffalos, but due to losing one eye, he had to part ways with most of them as he could no longer care for them properly. However, he decided to keep two of his favorites: a male buffalo named Wildthing and a female buffalo named Bullet. Initially, he kept only Wildthing, whom he loved dearly and could never imagine selling. Later on, Bullet joined the family as her previous owner struggled to handle her spirited nature. Fortunately, Bullet behaves quite well in RC's home.
A Surprising Household
RC Bridges and his wife, 39-year-old Sherron, live in a rather unconventional way, as their buffalos freely roam around the house. Surprisingly, Sherron, a native American, is not at all bothered by having buffalos in the living room. Numerous internet photos capture these enormous animals exploring the Bridges' home, even attempting to climb into RC's car. Sherron believes that RC's life would be incomplete without his beloved buffalos, as he has dedicated his entire life to their training and breeding.
A Respected Companion
Sherron has great respect for buffalos and fully supports RC's passion. She does not object to their presence and has no qualms about living alongside them. Despite the inherent danger of their curved horns, RC and Sherron's buffalo, Wildthing, even carried their wedding rings on his sharp horns during a celebration to renew their vows. According to RC, his buffalos are incredibly tame, and Bullet follows him around like she's on a leash. She is willing to forgo food just to be close to her owner. It's remarkable how her previous owner gladly gave her away, as she was too unruly for him.
A Harmonious Life
During the day, the buffalos roam the Bridges' property and enjoy the company of Sherron, RC, and their dog. A picturesque scene of the entire family, including the dog and the bison, lounging on the green lawn, has garnered much admiration on the internet. The buffalos are not just pets; they are also excellent helpers. They can plow the garden and even follow RC's lawnmower with interest when he mows the grass. This unusual family in Texas, consisting of the Buffalo Whisperer and his wife, is truly one-of-a-kind. Few people would ever think of inviting buffalos into their living room, but love is a powerful thing, and nothing can make RC Bridges stop loving his beloved companions, Bullet and Wildthing. Sherron even believes that RC would have a difficult time coping if one of them were to pass away.
