Regina Hall was born on December 12, 1970, in Washington, D.C. The daughter of a contractor and a teacher, she earned a Master's degree in Journalism from New York University in 1997.

Early Career

Hall's acting career commenced in 1997 with a television commercial. She landed her first regular role in the soap opera "All My Children" and appeared in the miniseries "NYPD Blue." In 1999, she made her film debut in "The Best Man," a significant turning point in her career.

The "Scary Movie" Phenomenon

Hall gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of the high school-aged Brenda Meeks in the "Scary Movie" franchise, a parody of popular horror films. Despite being in her thirties, Hall convincingly played a teenager.

"Ally McBeal" and Beyond
