Swiss cinematographer, born in Switzerland. From 1965 to 1967, he studied in Rome, where he met influential Italian filmmakers such as Luchino Visconti, Roberto Rossellini, and Pier Paolo Pasolini.
Cinematic Debut and Collaborations
His debut as a cinematographer came with Alain Tanner's film. He later collaborated with Tanner on numerous other projects. Throughout his career, he became renowned for his exceptional work on films by acclaimed European directors.
