Ricardo Avila
PanamaEarly Career
Ricardo Avila, a talented Panamanian midfielder, began his football journey with the renowned Panamanian club, Chorrillo FC. On January 17, 2015, he made his professional debut in the Panamanian league against Independiente de La Chorrera. Over the following months, Avila showcased his skills, culminating in his first goal for Chorrillo in a match against Chepo FC on August 17.
Loan to Koper
In the summer of 2016, Avila embarked on a loan move to Slovenian side FC Koper. However, his time there proved to be short-lived as he returned to Chorrillo without making a single appearance.
Transfer to Gent
Avila's impressive performances caught the attention of Belgian club KAA Gent, who secured his transfer in the summer of 2017. Since then, he has become an integral member of the team's midfield.
International Career
Avila's international debut for the Panamanian national team came on August 11, 2016, in a friendly match against Guatemala. The following year, he represented Panama at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Costa Rica. During the tournament, Avila showcased his goal-scoring prowess, netting four goals in matches against Haiti, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Honduras, and Costa Rica.
