Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Richard "Fazer" Rawson was born in Camden Town, London on February 5, 1987. His mother is Jamaican and his father is English. From a young age, Fazer had a passion for music and began experimenting with computer-generated beats. He also wrote lyrics for several N-Dubz songs, although he later focused on producing beats and mixing for the group.

Education and Formation of N-Dubz

Fazer attended St. John's Wood School, where he met his future bandmates, Tulisa Contostavlos and Dappy Contostavlos. Although he admits to never being an exemplary student, he was not suspended from school like Dappy. At the age of fifteen, Fazer and the others decided to start a music group. They recruited Tulisa, Dappy's cousin, and named themselves the Lickle Rinsers Crew.

N-Dubz's Rise to Success

Later changing their name to NW1 and then N-Dubz, the group began performing in Camden and gaining a following. Their early songs reflected their experiences living in a deprived area and being of mixed heritage in Britain. Hits such as "Everyday of My Life," "Girl on Road," and "Where I'm From" resonated with listeners and established N-Dubz as a popular UK act.

Personal Life and Controversies

Fazer's personal life has included a few controversies. In 2009, he and Dappy were removed from a British Airlines flight for allegedly swearing and being disruptive. He was also involved in an incident where he witnessed the arrest of two foul-mouthed adults. Fazer is an avid fisherman and Manchester United Football Club supporter.

Current Projects

Fazer continues to work with N-Dubz and co-writes a column for the girls' magazine Bliss with Dappy. He also pursues solo projects and collaborations with other artists.
