Italian footballer Roberto Acquafresca, a striker for Bologna FC, was born in Turin, Italy. At the tender age of six, he entered the youth academy of Torino FC.

Early Career: Transitions and Loans

In the summer of 2005, Acquafresca moved to Inter Milan. However, he was immediately loaned to Treviso, with 50% of his rights transferred. In 2007, Cagliari acquired 50% of Acquafresca's rights in exchange for David Suazo. The following year, Inter regained full ownership and loaned him back to Cagliari. During his time there, he achieved impressive statistics, scoring 14 goals and sharing seventh place in the Serie A scoring charts.

Further Loan Spells and Acquisition by Genoa

In 2009, Acquafresca found himself part of a deal to compensate for Diego Milito's transfer to Inter. He was sent on loan to Atalanta.

Arrival at Bologna

On July 19, 2011, Acquafresca joined Bologna on a one-year loan deal with an option to purchase.

International Representation

Acquafresca's mother is Polish, while his father is Italian. Initially, he considered representing Poland but ultimately chose to play for Italy. He made his debut for the Italian U21 squad in a qualification match against Albania in 2007.
