Robert Kiyosaki, an American entrepreneur, investor, author, and financial educator, was born into a family of educators. His father served as the Minister of Education in Hawaii. Kiyosaki, a fourth-generation Japanese American, received his education in New York after completing high school.
Military Career and Business Success
After graduating, Kiyosaki joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served as an officer and helicopter gunship pilot in Vietnam. Upon his return, he worked as a salesman for Xerox before launching his own business in 1977, which sold nylon wallets and "surfer" wallets that became a global success.
