Early Life and Education

- Departed Armenia in 1963 and worked as an assistant to the foreman, section manager, branch manager, and factory director at the Leninakan Hosiery and Socks Production Association.

- From 1966–1969, studied at the Leninakan Technical College of Light Industry.

- Graduated in 1991 from the All-Union Moscow Institute of Textile and Light Industry as an engineer-technologist.

Career in the Knitwear Industry

- Became General Director of the Production Association from 1993–1996.

- Served as Executive Director of the Arshluys Hosiery Production Company from 1996–2007.

Political Engagement

- Elected as a Deputy of the Leninakan City Council of People's Deputies in 1990.

- Contributed numerous rationalization proposals in the industry.

- On May 12, 2007, elected as a Member of Parliament.
- Holds a seat on the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.
- Member of the Prosperous Armenia Party.
