With her stunning looks reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe, featuring curly hair, Collins always mesmerized the audience on the sets of every film she was invited to. Notable Roles

She portrayed a character named O'Kot in the story of the harsh lives of female prisoners in the film "Big Doll House," directed by Jack Hill. Collins then fantastically played the role of vulgar and sociable Belle Tyson, a playful inmate, in Jonathan Demme's 1974 film "Caged Heat." She also excelled in her portrayal of champion racecar driver Matilda in the cult sci-fi black comedy "Death Race 2000."

In the 1972 comedy-action film "Unholy Rollers," Collins appeared as Claudia Jennings. In the fantasy musical "Train Ride to Hollywood" in 1975, she played the role of Jean Harlow. In the crime "blaxploitation" film "Three the Hard Way" in 1974, she can be recognized as Jim Brown's secretary.

Continuously experimenting with her acting range, Collins agreed to play the role of Clara, an independent and stubborn prostitute, in Tobe Hooper's horror film "Eaten Alive," where the old psychopath Judd fed his motel guests to a crocodile. After appearing as the clumsy student driver Hastings in the crime action film "Speedtrap" in 1977 and playing the self-centered and neurotic actress Clarissa in the horror film "The Witch Who Came from the Sea," Collins' career unfortunately began to decline.

She appeared in two sequels of the film "The Toolbox Murders" and the comedy "Student Confidential," which only confirmed that her peak of fame was behind her. However, Collins reminded audiences of her past success with her role as Miss Dice, a tough prison guard, in Bruce Logan's 1986 action film "Vigilante."

Personal Life and Tragic End

When her son Michael took his own life, Collins fell into deep depression. She passed away on August 16, 2008, in Los Angeles, California, as a result of a heart attack caused by accidental alcohol and drug overdose. She was buried in Hollywood Hills Memorial Park Cemetery next to her son.
