Robin Givens is an American film actress who was born on November 27, 1964, in New York City, USA. She is the daughter of Reuben Givens and Ruth Roper. When she was two years old, her parents divorced, and her mother took Robin Givens and her sister to New Rochelle, New York. She completed her college education at Sarah Lawrence College at the age of fifteen, and later studied at the Harvard School of Science and Arts. It is said that she only studied there for a year, which is likely true as she made her television debut in the show "Diff'rent Strokes" in 1985. Following that, she appeared in the popular show "The Cosby Show".

In 1986, Robin Givens starred in the television series "Beverly Hills Madam" alongside Faye Dunaway, and in the same year, she had a small role in the comedy series "Head of the Class". The series ran for five years, and during that time, Robin Givens gained popularity. In 1991, she appeared in the series "The Women of Brewster Place" with Oprah Winfrey, and in 1992, she made her film debut in "Boomerang" alongside Eddie Murphy and Halle Berry.

In 1994, Robin Givens posed nude for Playboy magazine and was ranked 88th in Empire Magazine's Top 100 Sexiest Actresses. In 1996, her career continued with roles in the film "A Face to Die For" and the series "Sparks". After a brief hiatus, she appeared in Toni Braxton's music video "He Wasn't Man Enough" in 2000. She then made frequent television appearances on channels such as MyNetworkTV, Trinity Broadcasting Network, and TBS, and participated in Larry King's program.
Robin Givens has had numerous film roles, including in movies such as "The Penthouse" (1989), "A Rage in Harlem" (1991), "Foreign Student" (1994), "Blankman" (1994), "Dangerous Intentions" (1995), "Antibody" (2002), and "Head of State" (2003).
Robin Givens was once married to the infamous boxer Mike Tyson for a year. They divorced on Valentine's Day in 1989, which reportedly cost Tyson around $10 million. Her second marriage to tennis coach Svetozar Marinkovic in 1997 was even shorter-lived, as they had a fight on the same day and divorced a month later. Robin Givens has two children, an adopted son named Badi and a son named Billy from her relationship with Murphy Jensen.
