Robin Weigert, an American film and television actress, was born on July 7, 1969, in Washington, D.C., USA. She comes from a Jewish background and graduated from Brandeis University in 1991. After that, she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Early Career

Weigert gained recognition for her role as Calamity Jane in the series "Deadwood," for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2004 for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series." Before her breakthrough in "Deadwood," she appeared in the acclaimed series "Angels in America" by Mike Nichols, which won the Golden Globe, alongside Meryl Streep, Al Pacino, and Emma Thompson.
