Biography of Robin A. Mow-Santos

Robin A. Mow-Santos was born on September 15, 1975 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is a professional volleyball player representing the United States national volleyball team. She is a multiple-time participant in the Olympic Games and an experienced international volleyball player.

Early Life and Education

Robin was born to Talmadge and Lovina A. Mow. She has two brothers, Kekoa and Tyson, and two sisters, Daru and Orline. In 1993, Robin enrolled at the University of Hawaii. During her studies, she was a member of the "all-American" team twice. In 1996, she led the university team to the decisive matches of the NCAA Championship.

Professional Career

After receiving her degree in sociology in 1996, Robin A. Mow-Santos joined the national volleyball team. She started participating in various international competitions. One of the significant milestones in her professional career was the World Cup, where she showcased her skills in 13 sets. In 2000, she became the champion of the "Nike Americas' Volleyball Challenge". She also competed in the Olympics in Sydney that year, playing against teams from China, Japan, and Korea. The USA volleyball team finished in fourth place in those games.

In 2001, Robin A. Mow-Santos was named the Most Valuable Player of the World Championship and received the title of "Best Setter". In 2004, she participated in the Olympics again. She played in the starting lineup during the Olympic Games in Athens. The USA team was eliminated in the quarterfinals after a match against the Brazilian team.

Throughout her long career, Robin A. Mow-Santos has participated in championships such as the "World Grand Prix", "Pan American Cup", "NORCECA", and "FIVB". In 2008, she will once again compete in the Olympic Games. Joining her in representing the USA in volleyball will be athletes such as Phillip Dalhausser, Lindsey Berg, Heather Bown, and Nicole Branagh.
