Biography of Roland Muradhan Guliyev

Introduction

Roland Muradhan Guliyev is one of the youngest and most promising amateur kickboxers from Azerbaijan. He is a member of the Azerbaijan National Kickboxing Team and has achieved numerous accolades in his career.

Early Life and Education

Guliyev first started practicing kickboxing at the age of 7 in the Physical Culture and Health Complex in Turkmenabad. His first coach was Yusup Khaïtov, a two-time world champion in kickboxing. In 2004, Guliyev moved to Azerbaijan with his family and began training at the AKMF-PRO sports club under the guidance of Chingiz Eyvazov, the head coach of the Azerbaijan National Kickboxing Team.

Military Service

From 2006 to 2007, Guliyev served in the armed forces of Azerbaijan while continuing to pursue his passion for kickboxing.

Achievements

Guliyev has had an impressive career, with several notable achievements to his name. These include:

- Bronze medalist at the 2008 WAKO European Kickboxing Championship in the K1 division, held in Guimaraes, Portugal, in the 54 kg weight category.
- Asian Kickboxing Champion in 2004, competing in the 51 kg weight category in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
- Winner of the Atamurat Niyazov International Kickboxing Tournament in 2003, held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, in the 48 kg weight category.
- Four-time Turkmenistan Kickboxing Champion in the amateur 51 kg weight category, winning titles in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003.
- Professional Kickboxing Champion of Turkmenistan in 2004, competing in the 51 kg weight category.
- Two-time Azerbaijan Kickboxing Champion among youth in the 54 kg weight category, winning titles in 2005 and 2006.
- Silver medalist at the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Championship in 2008, competing in the 54 kg weight category among adults.
- Armed Forces Kickboxing Champion of Azerbaijan in 2007, in the 64 kg weight category.

Physical Attributes

Guliyev stands at a height of 1.60 meters and weighs 57 kg. Although he has primarily competed in the 48 kg to 64 kg weight categories, his versatility as a kickboxer has allowed him to excel in various divisions throughout his career.
