Romain Saïss is a Moroccan footballer who plays as a defender for the Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Morocco national team.
Early Career
Saïss began his professional career at the French club Olympique Valence in his hometown. In 2012, he moved to Clermont Foot in Ligue 2, making his debut in January 2013. In March, he scored his first goal for the club.
Havre and Angers
In the summer of 2013, Saïss signed for Le Havre in Ligue 2. He scored his first goal for the club in January 2014. Two years later, he moved to Angers in Ligue 1, scoring his first goal for them that season.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
In 2016, Saïss joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Championship. He made his debut in September and scored his first goal for the club the following year. With Wolves, he earned promotion to the Premier League in 2018.
International Career
Saïss made his international debut for Morocco in 2012. In 2017, he represented his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, making four appearances and scoring a goal. He has been a regular member of the Moroccan national team since then, captaining them on several occasions.
