From an early age, he immersed himself in music, enrolling in piano lessons at just six years old. Education and Career Path
After graduating high school, Roman initially aspired to join the prestigious FSB Academy's law program. However, due to health reasons, he was unable to pursue this path. Instead, he enrolled in the Faculty of International Relations at the Moscow Humanitarian University, graduating with a degree in Regional Studies in 2006. During his university years, Roman spent a year in Las Vegas, Nevada, honing his skills and expanding his musical horizons.
Breaking into Entertainment
Despite his formal education, Roman's true passion lay in music. He gained valuable experience as a bassist for Tatiana Ovsiyenko's touring band, where his father served as the director. While working with Ovsiyenko, Roman showcased his vocal abilities and became a regular performer in university concerts. Additionally, he auditioned for the "Fabrika Zvezd" project three times, eventually securing a spot in its sixth season.

The four months spent on "Fabrika Zvezd" proved transformative for Roman's career. Initially overshadowed by more experienced castmates, he gradually emerged as a standout vocalist. His ability to adapt to various musical styles and command the stage garnered him attention from both the audience and music industry professionals.
During his time on the show, Roman performed several solo songs, including his debut single "Ya i Ty." He also collaborated with renowned artists such as Vladimir Kuzmin, Sergei Trofimov, and Gotthard. After his departure from "Fabrika Zvezd," Roman joined the band "Chelsea" alongside Arseny Borodin, Denis Petrov, and Alexei Korzin.
Recognition and Success
"Chelsea" quickly gained popularity, with their songs dominating music charts. In 2006, they received the "Golden Gramophone" award for their hit "Chuzhaya Nevesta." Their album, released the same year, featured Roman's solo number "Ya i Ty." The band's success continued, and they became known as the "Best Group of the Year."
