Roman Coppola, an American film director and music video director, was born on April 22, 1965, in the American hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. His father, Francis Ford Coppola, is a renowned director, producer, and screenwriter who has won five Oscars, and his mother, Eleanor Jessie Neil Coppola, is a designer and director. Roman attended the Tisch School of the Arts and the New York University film school.

Early Roles and Career
Roman Coppola made his acting debut at a young age, appearing as one of Tom Hagen's sons in the funeral scene of "The Godfather." He also played the role of young Santino Corleone in "The Godfather Part II" in 1974 and later worked on the visual effects of his father's film "Bram Stoker's Dracula."

In 2001, Coppola made his directorial debut with the fantasy comedy "CQ," which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. He then founded "The Directors Bureau," a production company, and directed music videos for indie rock band "The Strokes," including the songs "12:51" and "Is This It" from the album "Room on Fire." He went on to direct music videos for artists such as Wyclef Jean, Moby, Matthew Sweet, and Fatboy Slim, as well as bands like The Presidents of the United States of America, Mansun, Ween, Green Day, Phoenix, Mellow, Daft Punk, Supergrass, The Vines, God Lives Underwater, and Arctic Monkeys. His music video for "Funky Squaredance" by alternative rock band Phoenix is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

In addition to music videos, Coppola has also found success in directing commercials.
