Early Life and Education
Roman Ivanisov was born in 1978 in Berdiansk, Ukraine. In 1995, he graduated from Berdiansk Secondary School No. 2. He went on to study at Berdiansk University of Management and Business, earning a degree in Law with honors in 2000.
Criminal Conviction
In 1994, Ivanisov committed a series of crimes, including robbery, car theft, and underage sexual assault and rape. He was arrested in 1995 and sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison. However, the sentence was later reduced to 2 years and 6 months.
Business Career
After serving his sentence, Ivanisov embarked on a business career. From 2001 to 2015, he worked as an individual entrepreneur. In 2005, he co-founded and became the General Director of Ukr Nafta Prom - Alliance LLC. He also co-founded Aqua-Volyn LLC in 2006 and Sunrise Medical LLC in 2016.
Political Involvement
Ivanisov entered politics in 2010, serving as a member of the Rivne Regional Council for the Batkivshchyna party. In 2014, he played an active role in the Revolution of Dignity, serving as Deputy Commandant of the Maidan in Kyiv. He later worked as an advisor to the Chairman of the Rivne Regional State Administration.
Parliamentary Career
In 2019, Ivanisov was elected to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, as a member of the Servant of the People party. He is currently a member of the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy.
