Biography of Ronald Clark

Ronald Clark was an American doctor who was suspected to be a serial killer. He was found guilty of two cases of involuntary manslaughter and died in prison.

Medical License Suspensions

Between 1954 and 1967, Clark's medical license was suspended four times. The reasons for these suspensions included "gross misconduct," "moral turpitude," and one suspension without specific charges. However, each time his license was reinstated.

Complaints and Allegations

The Michigan Medical Commission received numerous complaints against Dr. Clark. These complaints included three fatal cases of drug overdose, performing illegal abortions, sexual harassment of patients, molesting children, excessive medication for nonexistent illnesses, and working without proper authorization.

Deaths of Secretaries

On March 20, 1967, Hannah Bauerbank, a 63-year-old secretary, collapsed and died during work. The police became interested in the circumstances of her death but had no evidence of intentional wrongdoing. Eight months later, on November 3, 1967, another secretary named Graile Neil passed away. Police officers noticed a hearse near Clark's office that night and discovered a body ready for transport inside. Autopsy revealed traces of sodium pentothal. Clark was charged with two cases of involuntary manslaughter, but the reasons behind the deaths of at least nine other patients remain unclear.

Conviction and Death

Clark was found guilty of the two unintentional killings of his secretaries. In March 1972, he died in prison in Jackson, Michigan.
