Ronaldus Shamask is an American fashion designer who has gained worldwide recognition for his innovative and stunning creations. Born in Amsterdam, Shamask grew up in Australia before making a name for himself in London and ultimately finding success in New York.

Early Life and Career
Shamask was born in Amsterdam and spent his childhood years in Australia. It was in Australia where he first tried his hand at fashion design, working on window displays in Melbourne from 1963 to 1966. Seeking to further his career in the fashion industry, Shamask moved to London at the age of 21. He began drawing and working on illustrations for prominent publications such as 'London Times' and 'Observer'.

Success in New York
In 1968, Shamask received an invitation from the multi-disciplinary artistic organization 'The Company Of Man' to work in Buffalo, New York. For three years, Shamask designed sets and costumes for theatrical and ballet productions, including the renowned 'The Lightening Conductor' at the Albright Knox Art Museum.

In the period from 1971 to 1977, Shamask worked as a freelance designer, specializing in clothing and interior design. In 1978, he opened his own studio on Madison Avenue in New York City and showcased his first haute couture women's collection. The debut collection received warm praise from critics and fashion enthusiasts alike. Reviews in publications such as 'WWD', 'Vogue', 'People Magazine', 'Life', and 'New York Times' propelled Shamask to international stardom.
