Da Silva began his career in his home country, representing clubs such as River Plate and Nacional. He then moved to Argentina, where he achieved success with Boca Juniors and Rosario Central, winning the Argentine Primera División title in 1989/90. He also played for clubs in Spain and Mexico, showcasing his versatility across different leagues.

International Success

Representing Uruguay, Da Silva was a key member of the team that won the 1995 Copa América. He also featured in the 1989 and 1997 editions of the tournament, helping his country to a second-place finish in 1989.
