However, this situation took a turn when a police officer who patrolled the vicinity of Darwin's home witnessed the man engaging in sexual activities with the alligator in his backyard. The eyewitness overheard Darwin saying, "Next time you attempt to kill a human, you better do a better job. Now you're mine, bitch, forever!"

There are different versions of this story circulating on fake news websites. For instance, Thug Viral also suggests that there is no photograph showing the sexual assault on the alligator. The picture of the reptile was taken in 2013 at Lake Wyman Park in Boca Raton, Florida, where local authorities captured a large alligator. The photograph of the man also does not provide any evidence that he committed the sexual assault. It was taken from materials related to a similar case in Illinois in 2013, where a man was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a peacock named Phil. The bird's body was found in Beckmann's garage on the night of April 28.

David Beckmann, a 64-year-old man, was charged with animal cruelty after the Roselle Police Department learned about the bird's death. Court records show that Beckmann was taken to the DuPage County Jail on charges of attempted assault and indecent solicitation of a minor aged 13-17. The police are reluctant to comment on the bird incident as it is part of the child abuse case. However, a state representative confirmed that Beckmann is accused of sexually assaulting the peacock. According to the court records, the police saw Phil alive before the incident, making it difficult to determine when and how the peacock died.
