Childhood and Early Life
On December 19, 1989, in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, Ruslan Khanumak was born to Albert Semenchenko, a medical university graduate. He has a younger brother named Yevgeny.
From a young age, Khanumak was captivated by the television show "KVN," a popular Russian comedy competition. He admired comedians Mikhail Galustyan and Semyon Slepakov and dreamed of performing on stage. At the age of 10, he joined his school team, "109th Kilometer."
Although his father, a successful businessman, encouraged him to pursue a more lucrative career, Khanumak persisted in his comedy aspirations. He enrolled in the Zaporizhzhia Institute of Economics and Information Technologies but abandoned his studies to focus on his comedy career.
KVN and Stand-Up
In 2012, Khanumak co-founded the comedy project "Zayinka," which became the champion of the Open Zaporizhzhia League of KVN. Three years later, under the guidance of coach Elena Kravets, the team reached the final of the first season of the television show "League of Laughter."
Khanumak also made appearances in several other comedy shows, including "Komiks," "Boy's Club," and "Make Me Laugh," where he won the main prize. He hosted the program "Chisto News" for the production company "Studio Kvartal-95" and the travel show "Features of National Work," spending three months in Asia experiencing various occupations.
Acting and Writing
In 2016, Khanumak collaborated with his colleagues from "Zayinka" to release the comedy "Patsiki," which explored the experiences of young men from rural areas trying to succeed in big cities. He had previously appeared in the musicals "1+1 at Home" and "1+1 at Home 2," starring alongside Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Elena Kravets.
In 2017, Khanumak launched a YouTube channel where he discussed social issues and his experiences as a father. He also had roles in the television series "Papik" (2019) and the short film anthology "The Wild Ones" (2020).
Personal Life
In 2016, Khanumak met his future wife, Alina Shamanska, while filming his TV project "55 in 5." They married in 2017 and welcomed their son, Arthur, in 2018. Khanumak had a previous marriage to a fellow KVN player named Lyudmila.
Recent Projects
In 2021, Khanumak starred in the comedy series "100,000 Minutes Together," portraying a couple navigating the challenges of quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic.
