Ruslan Stefanchuk: Zelensky's Key Advisor and Legal Expert
Early Life and EducationBorn in Ternopil in 1975, Ruslan Stefanchuk hails from a family of medical students. He excelled in his education, graduating with honors from secondary school in Khmelnytskyi in 1992 and obtaining a law degree with honors from Khmelnytskyi Institute of Regional Management and Law in 1997. He also earned a degree in Production Management from Podolia Technological University in the same year.
Political Career
Stefanchuk began his political career as an assistant to Anatoly Matvienko, a member of parliament from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko. He also served as an advisor on intellectual property issues to Stepan Kubiv, the former Vice Prime Minister.
In 2019, during a televised debate, presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky identified Stefanchuk as a key member of his team, entrusting him with reforming legal institutions and legislative work. Following Zelensky's election victory, Stefanchuk was appointed as his Advisor and Representative in the Verkhovna Rada on May 21, 2019.
