Early Career
Rustam Khudzhiamov began his footballing journey as a product of the renowned Dynamo Kyiv Football Club's youth academy. Despite his promise, he never made an official appearance for the club's first team.
Professional Career
In 2006, Khudzhiamov signed a two-year contract with FC Kharkiv, where he quickly established himself as a regular starter. Two years later, he moved to FC Shakhtar Donetsk and made an immediate impact. In the 2008 Ukrainian Super Cup match, he made a crucial penalty save against Diakate, securing victory for Shakhtar.
Despite his heroics, Khudzhiamov struggled to displace Andriy Pyatov as the team's first-choice goalkeeper. He gained valuable playing time on loan at Metalurh Zaporizhzhia, FC Mariupol, Zorya Luhansk, and Metalist Kharkiv.
Later Career
In 2016, FC Mariupol signed Khudzhiamov on a permanent basis, where he took on the role of captain. After four years with the club, he terminated his contract on April 1, 2020, marking the end of his footballing career.
International Career
Khudzhiamov served as the third goalkeeper for the Ukrainian national team. He earned his sole cap on February 11, 2009, in a friendly against Serbia. Additionally, he made three appearances for the Ukrainian under-21 team.
