Ryan Stock: From Magic Tricks to Guinness World Records

Ryan Stock, a Canadian stunt performer and magician, is known for his extraordinary feats and has set multiple records in the Guinness World Records. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Ryan developed a passion for magic from a young age and dreamt of becoming a magician. He began learning the secrets of magic tricks and mastered many simple tricks. As his skills grew, Ryan started performing more complex acts, such as fire swallowing.

In 2003, Ryan gained fame on television after participating in "The Jim Rose Circus" show. During his circus tour, he adopted the stage name "Rupert," which many viewers remember him by. Ryan later appeared on various TV shows, including "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, where he performed his incredibly insane trick of lifting a 15-pound piece of ham with a hook inserted through his nasal cavity in January 2013.

Ryan's talents did not go unnoticed by the Guinness World Records. He currently holds three official records. In 2002, he performed an incredibly unusual stunt by swallowing a sword with a chain attached to its handle and pulling an Audi Quattro car weighing 1696 kg for a distance of 6.38 meters in 20.53 seconds. This spectacle was truly mind-boggling and rightfully earned Ryan a Guinness World Record.

In 2012, Ryan set another extraordinary record. This time, he inserted a hook through his nasal cavity (entering through the nose and exiting through the mouth) and pulled a small car with two passengers inside, totaling a weight of 725 kg. While walking backward, Ryan dragged the car for several meters, leaving the audience at the Guinness World Records show in Rome covering their faces in disbelief. The sight of what Ryan accomplished with the hook and his own nasal cavity was simply hard to watch. Nevertheless, the record officially took its place in the famous book.

Ryan's third record was not unique but rather breaking an existing record. He managed to open the most cans with his teeth in one minute, a visually captivating feat. Using only his teeth, Ryan ripped off the tops of 11 cans, surpassing the previous record of 10.
