Early Life and Club Career
Moussa Wagué was born in France to Senegalese parents. His older brother, Ludovic Sané, is also a professional footballer. Wagué began his professional career in France, playing for Bordeaux, Nancy, and Nancy's reserve team. In June 2012, he went on trial with Belgian club Anderlecht.
In May 2013, it was announced that Wagué would transfer to Hannover 96 in Germany. He signed a four-year contract on July 1, 2013, officially joining the Bundesliga club.
International Career
Wagué made his international debut for Senegal on June 7, 2013, in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Angola. He was included in the Senegalese squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
