Biography of Sameer Jain
Sameer Jain is an Indian entrepreneur and the Vice Chairman of the country's largest media company, Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. He studied at St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. Sameer is married to Meera Jain and they have a daughter named Trishla Jain, who is now a well-known artist.
Early Career
Sameer Jain joined the family business, Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd, in 1975, starting from a junior management position. Over the next seven years, he gained valuable experience in organizing business processes and managing the company. Gradually, he took over responsibility for almost all aspects of the company's media activities.
Leadership
By 1982, Sameer had become the Vice Chairman of the company and effectively managed the firm as his father, Ashok Jain, had to step down due to a variety of reasons. Ashok had to deal with allegations of fraud and serious heart problems. While his father was recovering in the United States, Sameer took charge of reforming the family enterprise.

Sameer Jain anticipated the impending changes and successfully reformed Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. His reforms proved to be highly successful, as the demand for the company's services matched the supply. Under Sameer Jain's efforts, the subsidiary company of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd, "Times of India," became the most widely circulated English-language newspaper in the world. Apart from "Times of India," the Jain family company also oversees the publication of several other significant newspapers.

While Sameer Jain is primarily known for his entrepreneurial activities, he is also recognized as an enlightener, philanthropist, and patron of the arts. However, his main focus remains the development of India's media industry, in which he has achieved remarkable success.
