Alex Group: A Business Empire
Early Life and CareerAlex Group's founder and CEO, an Armenian business magnate, was born into a humble background. In his early years, he served in the Soviet Army (1988-1990). Upon his return, he worked as a master and workshop manager at the "Angelica" factory (1990-1994).
Transition to Private Business
In 1994, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey. While pursuing a degree in agriculture (1997-2002), he simultaneously established his own businesses.
Political and Business Success
In 2003, he transitioned into politics, becoming a member of the Armenian Parliament. During his tenure, he was recognized for his contributions to the development of the Olympic movement in Armenia (2002). In 2007, he was re-elected as a member of the Republican Party of Armenia.
Alex Group's Expansion
Alex Group has grown steadily under his leadership, becoming a leading importer of sugar, butter, and vegetable oil in Armenia. The company's success has enabled him to gain significant influence in the country's economic and political landscape.
Independent Path
In 2017, he was elected to Parliament on the Republican Party of Armenia's list. However, he subsequently became an independent parliamentarian, demonstrating his commitment to working for the betterment of Armenia without partisan affiliations.
