Born and raised in San Jose, California, to Filipino-Irish parents, Sandra's childhood was tragically cut short in 1993. Her mother, Madeline, was a school P.E. teacher, tennis instructor, and aerobics instructor. Her father, Gary, was a database management director for the county sheriff's department and a private pilot. Her younger brother, who shared her passion for basketball and wrestling, perished alongside her parents in a plane crash. Sandra was the sole survivor of this devastating event.

Pursuing Her Dreams

Despite the adversity she faced, Sandra's determination to become an actress burned brightly. Starting at age eight, she honed her skills in dance and gymnastics. In high school, she was active in cheerleading, soccer, and diving.
