Early Life and Career BeginningsSarah Balzer was born on April 3, 1995, in Strasbourg, France. She made her international debut at the 2013 World Championships in Chicago.
2015 European Games
At the 2015 European Games in Baku, Balzer was eliminated in the first round of the individual competition. However, she helped France claim fourth place in the team event.
Breakthrough with European Medal
In 2017, Balzer earned her first international medal by capturing bronze in the team competition at the European Championships in Tbilisi.
Silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Balzer's French team overcame the United States in the opening round and Italy in the semifinals. In the final, they faced Russia, ultimately finishing in second place and earning the silver medal.
