Her musical journey began at the age of five, and by nine, she was already composing her own songs, drawing inspiration from classic Hollywood musicals and 1960s music.
Independent Albums and "Night Bugs"
Slean's first independent album, "Blue Parade," was released in 1998. In 2002, she signed with WEA/Atlantic Records and released her major label debut, "Night Bugs." This album showcased Slean's lyrical prowess and emotional depth.
"Day One" and a Shift in Style
Slean's 2004 album, "Day One," marked a departure from her previous work. The focus shifted from piano-led compositions to a more rhythmic and guitar-driven sound. The single "Lucky Me" became a fan favorite.
"Orphan Music (live)" and Collaborations
