Biography of Sarit Hadad
Sarit Hadad is a popular Israeli singer who gained fame for her performances on Eurovision Song Contest in 2002. Born in the city of Afula, she grew up in a large family of Mountain Jews who originated from the city of Derbent in Dagestan. Sarit was the youngest of four daughters and four sons. When she was three years old, her family moved to the city of Hadera.
Early Career
At the age of ten, Sarit participated in a young talent competition where she showcased her piano skills. By the age of fifteen, she was performing with a youth group called "Tzeirey Hadera" (Youth of Hadera). It was during one of their performances in the city of Netanya that Sarit caught the attention of music producer Avi Guetta. Impressed by her vocal abilities, he offered her a recording contract.
