Early Life and Career

Sasha Gajser was born in Slovenia and began his football career with NK Aluminij. He later joined NK Maribor, where he made 17 appearances and scored one goal over three seasons.

Slovenian League Career

Gajser then moved to NK Drava and NK Železničar Ljubljana in the Slovenian Second League. In 1996, he joined NK Nafta and spent one season with the club.

Rudar Velenje and National Team Debut

In 1997, Gajser signed with NK Rudar Velenje. He played a significant role in the club's 1998 Slovenian Cup victory. Gajser made his debut for the Slovenian national team in 1999 and represented his country at UEFA Euro 2000 and the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
