Kazakh Soviet theater actor and Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, born in the early 20th century.
Artistic Beginnings
After graduating from the agronomy faculty of the Central Asian State University in Tashkent in 1929, he pursued his artistic interests through participation in amateur theater groups.
Founding the Jambyl Theater
In 1936, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Abai Kazakh Drama Theater in Jambyl Oblast, where he performed as an actor for almost two decades until 1955. His specialties were sharp and eccentric character roles.
Notable Performances
Among his most acclaimed performances were:- Taltanbai in B. M. Maylin's "The Customs of Taltanbai"
- Kebek, Kengirbai, and Taneke in M. O. Auezov's "Enlik and Kebek" and "Nightly Thunder"
- Serdali and Zantyk in G. M. Musrepov's "Akhan Serei and Aktokty" and "Kozy Korpesh and Bayan Sulu"
- Mahammet in M. B. Auezov's "Isaatai and Mahammet"
- Bazaarbai and Shege in E. G. Brusilovsky and G. M. Musrepov's "Kyz Zhibek"
- Sultanbek in U. A. Hajibeyov's "Arshin Mal Alan"
