Early Life and Education

Born in Serbia, the distinguished writer, literary critic, and literary scholar pursued his academic journey at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Novi Sad. He specialized in Serbian-Croatian Language and Literature, completing his undergraduate degree. His intellectual prowess was further honed as he earned his master's degree (1986) and doctorate (1996) from the same esteemed institution, where he had the privilege of studying under the guidance of renowned academician, Milorad Pavić.

Academic Career

Returning to the Faculty of Philosophy at Novi Sad, he embarked on an academic career as an adjunct professor of Serbian literature. His expertise extended to both 19th-century and contemporary Serbian literature, which he taught with passion and erudition.

International Recognition

His reputation extended beyond the borders of Serbia. He graced the halls of academia as a visiting professor at the University of Tübingen's Slavic Department in Germany. His intellectual insights were shared at renowned universities across Europe, including Berlin, Halle, Trier, Regensburg, Göttingen, Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Ljubljana, and Skopje.
