Early Life and Education

Sayako Kusaka, a renowned Japanese violinist, received her early training at the Tokyo University of the Arts. She then embarked on a journey to enhance her skills, studying under distinguished mentors such as Eduard Schmieder at the Dallas School of Music and Rainer Kussmaul at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, Germany.

Concertmaster Roles

Upon graduating, Kusaka embarked on a successful career as a concertmaster. In 2001, she joined the I Palpiti Chamber Orchestra in Dallas, led by her former teacher, Eduard Schmieder. Her talent and leadership skills earned her the position of concertmaster in the prestigious Konzerthausorchester Berlin in 2007.

International Competitions

Kusaka's exceptional talent has been recognized on a global scale. She has triumphed in numerous international competitions, including:

- 2000: Second prize and special prize for Paganini's Caprice at the Niccolò Paganini International Violin Competition
