During his time at the University of Toronto from 1994 to 1996, Speedman pursued swimming and was part of the national team, even setting records. However, a sports injury ended his athletic career prematurely.

Early Career

Speedman began honing his acting skills in his later years of high school. He participated in a television show for amateurs, catching the attention of organizers. He later auditioned for the role of Robin in the film "Batman Forever," although unsuccessfully. Nonetheless, he gained an agent along the way.
