Luis Antonio Valencia is an Ecuadorian footballer who primarily plays as a winger but is also adept at playing as a central midfielder.
Club Career
Valencia began his career with ESPOLI, making 66 appearances and scoring 11 goals. His breakthrough came with El Nacional, where he won two league titles in 2005 and 2006, contributing 11 goals in 112 matches.
In 2006, he moved to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade, scoring 8 goals in his first season and helping the team win the Serbian Championship and Serbian Cup.
Premier League Stint
In August 2008, Valencia joined English club Everton on loan. He made his Premier League debut against Stoke City and scored his only goal for the Toffees in the UEFA Cup against Standard Liège.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Valencia spent the 2009-10 season on loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers, making 23 appearances and contributing 1 goal.
