Biography of Sergey Abramyan

Sergey Arshavirovich Abramyan (Armenian: Սերգեյ Արշավիրովիչ Աբրահամյան) was born on January 1, 1953, in the village of Vladimirovka, Altai Krai, Russian Federation. He is an Armenian entrepreneur and parliamentarian, and is one of the brothers of Ara Abramyan.

Education and Early Career

In 1975, Abramyan graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, where he studied as an engineer-constructor and radio apparatus technologist. His career began as an engineer at the Yerevan branch of the Institute of Switchgear Devices from 1975 to 1976. He then served as the head of the laboratory at the Yerevan Design and Technological Bureau of Relay Equipment from 1976 to 1986. From 1986 to 1988, Abramyan held the position of Deputy Chief of Quality Control at the Yerevan Relay Plant. He later became the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee at the Yerevan Relay Plant from 1988 to 1990, and the Chief Specialist in Foreign Economic Relations at the Yerevan Relay Plant from 1990 to 1994.

Entrepreneurship and Parliamentary Career

In 1994, Abramyan became the director of the Malishkinskoye branch of the state enterprise "Shokhakn." He then served as the Chairman of the Board of OAO "AVA" from 1997 to 2000. Since 2000, he has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors at ZAO "Ava Plus." On May 25, 2003, Abramyan became a member of the permanent committee on foreign relations of the National Assembly.

Sergey Abramyan is a non-partisan politician and has been actively involved in entrepreneurial activities, contributing to the development of various industries in Armenia.
