Born in Volochysk, Russian Empire, into a family of a dragoon regiment officer, Pierre Razoumovsky embarked on a distinguished military career. There, he attended the renowned École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr, graduating as a lieutenant and joining the 1st Foreign Regiment. Razoumovsky served in the Foreign Legion, ultimately becoming a naturalized French citizen in 1928.
