Early Life and Education

Konstantin Sergeyevich Sidenko was born in the Soviet Union. He attended the Black Sea Higher Naval Institute named after P.S. Nakhimov from 1975 to 1980, where he received his initial naval education. He went on to complete advanced officer training at the Higher Special Officer Classes of the Navy (1990-1991). Subsequently, he graduated from the Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N.G. Kuznetsov and the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (2005-2007).

Naval Career

Sidenko's naval career began on the Northern Fleet, where he served in various positions on the large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Yumashev" and the missile cruiser "Marshal Ustinov." He held command roles as Commander of the Missile Cruiser "Marshal Ustinov" (1991-1996) and the 43rd Missile Ship Division (2001-2003).

From 1996 to 1998, Sidenko served as Deputy Commander of the 43rd Missile Ship Division, and from 1998 to 2001, he was Chief of Staff. In 2003, he became Chief of Staff of the 7th Operational Squadron.

Command of the Pacific Fleet

After completing the Military Academy of the General Staff, Sidenko served as Commander of the Primorskaya Flotilla of Heterogeneous Forces on the Pacific Fleet from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, he was appointed Chief of Staff of the Pacific Fleet.

On October 29, 2010, Sidenko was appointed Acting Commander of the Pacific Fleet, a position he held temporarily until becoming the official Commander in 2014.

Awards and Recognition

Sidenko has been recognized for his service with the Order of "For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR" III degree, the Order of "For Military Merit," and various medals.

Sidenko's career has been marked by his dedication to the Russian Navy, where he has risen through the ranks to become a highly respected and experienced Commander.
