Sergey Babkin: Ukrainian Artist and Musician
Early Life and EducationSergey Babkin was born on November 7, 1978, in Kharkiv, Ukraine. His childhood was marked by his early exposure to music, theater, and dance. At the age of six, he began his musical journey by teaching himself the guitar. While in high school, he discovered his passion for theater and performed in numerous school productions.

Theatrical Career
After graduating high school, Babkin enrolled in the Kharkiv Arts Lyceum, where he studied acting. During his studies, he met his future bandmate Andrey Zaporozhets. Babkin went on to pursue a degree in acting at the Kharkiv Institute of Arts, where he performed in various stage productions. His talent earned him the victory in a stage reading competition during his second year.

Military Exemption and Early Success
Despite his success in theater, Babkin was destined for military service. However, his connections within the theater world helped him secure an exemption from mandatory conscription. This allowed him to continue his career, which included a role in the film "Russkoye" and a hosting gig for the TV program "Salon TV."

Music Career: 5'nizza and Beyond
In 2000, Babkin and Zaporozhets founded the music group 5'nizza. The band quickly gained popularity in Ukraine and beyond, blending elements of hip-hop, reggae, and acoustic rock. Babkin also released several solo albums during this period, including "Ura!" (2004), "Bis" (2005), and "Syn" (2005).

Breakup of 5'nizza and Subsequent Projects
In 2007, 5'nizza announced their breakup due to creative differences. Babkin went on to form the band K.P.S.S. and collaborate with artists such as Svyatoslav Vakarchuk of Okean Elzy. He released another solo album, "Sergevna," in 2013.
Film and Television
Babkin's artistic talents extended to film and television. He appeared in the comedy "Den radio" (2008) and the science fiction thriller "Ottorzhenie" (2009). He also portrayed a player in the movie "Happy-end" (2013) and a gravedigger in "Kak zaveshti zhenschinu" (2013).
Reunion of 5'nizza
In 2015, Babkin and Zaporozhets reunited to bring back 5'nizza. They released the mini-album "I Believe in You" and continue to perform together.
Personal Life
Babkin has been married twice. His first marriage to Liliya Rotan produced a son, Ilya. After their divorce, he married Snezhana Vartanyan in 2009, and together they have a daughter, Veselina.
Present-Day Activities
Babkin remains active in both music and theater. He has released several solo albums, including "#Neubiay" (2016), and continues to perform live. He also participates in theatrical productions, most notably alongside his wife in the satirical play "Zhir."
