Biography of Sergey Fokin

Sergey Fokin is a former Soviet and Russian ice hockey player, as well as a coach. He started his career playing in lower leagues for "Khimik" Engels (1981/82 - 1982/83) and "Kristall" Saratov (1982/83 - 1983/84). From 1984/85 to 1991/92, he played for Moscow's "Spartak". He later played in Sweden for "Västerås" (1992/93 - 1993/94), "Färjestad" (1994/95 - 2001/02), "Boras" (2002/03 - 2004/05), and "Malmö Redhawks" (2002/03). He participated in the World Championships in 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998. After retiring from his playing career, he became a coach for Swedish lower division clubs and youth teams.

Achievements

- Silver medalist of the Soviet Championship - 1991.
- Two-time bronze medalist of the Soviet Championship - 1986, 1992 (CIS).
- Three-time Swedish champion - 1997, 1998, 2002.
- Included in the top five players in the history of "Färjestad".
