Early Career and Rise to ProminenceAndrei Gorbunov began his football journey as a young boy at the reputable Minsk academies of "Smena" and "Olimpiya" under the guidance of his first coach, Vladimir Ilyich Zarutsky. With exceptional skills as a goalkeeper, Gorbunov quickly rose through the ranks, demonstrating his talent in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League for the renowned club BATE Borisov.
National Recognition and International Debut
Gorbunov's outstanding performances earned him recognition by the Belarusian Football Federation (BFF), who included him in their list of 22 best football players in the Belarusian championship three times: in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
