Biography of Sergio Ramos García
Sergio Ramos García, born on March 30, 1986, is a Spanish footballer who currently plays for Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. He typically performs as a right back or in the center.

Ramos began his sports career at Sevilla, one of the giants in the local league. He had the opportunity to play alongside Jesús Navas and the late Antonio Puerta. He made his debut in February 2004 and scored his first goal seven months later in September. After spending only three seasons at Sevilla, Ramos was transferred to Real Madrid in the summer of 2005 for a record-breaking fee of 27 million euros, making him the only Spanish player signed by Real Madrid during Florentino Perez's first term as president.

In Real Madrid, Ramos inherited the number 4 jersey previously worn by team captain Fernando Hierro. He scored his first goal for the club on December 6, 2005, in a Champions League match against Olympiacos. Although the goal did not contribute much to the team's success as Real Madrid ultimately lost 3-2.

In his early seasons, Ramos played as a central defender. However, with the arrival of Christoph Metzelder and Pepe in the 2007-2008 season, he was shifted to the right flank. He could also play on the left when needed. Ramos has always had an incredible love for scoring goals, despite being a defender. In his first four seasons, he scored a total of 20 goals. In one of his interviews, the athlete confessed that he used to play as a striker.

On May 4, 2008, Ramos assisted Gonzalo Higuain in scoring a goal against Osasuna, securing Real Madrid's victory and 31st league title. On the last day of the season, Ramos scored two more goals in a match against Levante.
The following season started with another important goal in the Spanish Super Cup match against Valencia. Although there was a slight dip in his performance for a while, Ramos soon regained his form and returned to his previous level of play. On January 11, 2009, he scored an incredible goal in a match against Mallorca.
In 2008, Ramos was named in the FIFA and UEFA Team of the Year and rose to the 21st position in the race for the European Player of the Year award.
Ramos began the 2009-2010 season as one of the four captains of Real Madrid. He considered this position a great honor. Despite being injured before the season, he quickly recovered and played as a central defender due to Pepe's injury. He excelled in this position and became one of the best aerial players of the year, scoring two goals with his head.
On February 21, 2010, Ramos played his 200th match for Real Madrid (150th if only counting league matches).
Ramos also had a successful international career. In 2005, he joined the Spanish U21 national team and participated in six major international tournaments. On March 26, he played in a friendly match against China, competing with adults despite just turning 18.
In 2008, his performance as a central defender was instrumental in Spain's achievements in the European Championship.
