Biography of Sean Donovan

Sean Donovan is a professional Canadian ice hockey player who played as a forward. He was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the 2nd round, 28th overall, in the 1993 NHL Draft.

In November 21, 1997, Donovan was traded to the Colorado Avalanche. After two years, he was then traded to the Atlanta Thrashers on December 8, 1999. On March 15, 2002, he was acquired by the Pittsburgh Penguins from the waiver draft. Another trade followed on March 11, 2003, when he was sent to the Calgary Flames.

As an unrestricted free agent, Donovan signed a contract with the Boston Bruins on July 2, 2006.
