Vyacheslav Komissarenko, a beloved contemporary stand-up comedian, was born on July 27, 1985, in Minsk, Belarus. It was in the Belarusian capital that his youthful years unfolded. As a teenager, Komissarenko first encountered stand-up comedy while watching a comedy film featuring Eddie Murphy. Breakthrough in Stand-Up
In 2008, Komissarenko and Nevzorov took a leap of faith and participated in the eighth season of the renowned comedy show "Smekh bez Pravil" (Laughter Without Rules). Their performance impressed the jury and audience alike, earning them second place. This success marked the duo's first significant ascent in their comedy careers.
Subsequently, Komissarenko and Nevzorov graced the stages of "Uboynaya Liga," "Bunker News," Cheesecake Factory, Comedy Battle, and Central Park. Gradually, Komissarenko began performing solo, which proved beneficial as it showcased his unique talents. As a solo performer, he became a regular participant in the popular show Stand Up on the TNT channel.
The Rise of a Stand-Up Star
Towering at 2 meters and weighing 90 kilograms, Komissarenko made an unforgettable impression from the get-go. His kind and original jokes endeared him to audiences, establishing him as a pioneer in the Russian stand-up comedy genre. Among his fellow comedians were notable figures such as Dmitry Romanov, Ivan Abramov, Ruslan Bely, Yulia Akhmedova, Viktor Komarov, Timur Karginov, and Ivan Usovich.
Komissarenko's humorous sketches drew inspiration from amusing incidents experienced by himself or acquaintances. While they resembled everyday observations, his sharp wit and ability to view ordinary situations with a distinct perspective transformed them into laugh-out-loud moments.

Later, Komissarenko was involved in the creation of the series "NeZlobin," which featured his friend and acclaimed comedian Alexander Nezlobin navigating relationships with his family, friends, and colleagues.
"Open Microphone" and Musical Performances
In 2017, Komissarenko joined the judging panel of "Open Microphone," a competitive show aiming to recruit new members for the Stand Up ensemble. The program consisted of participant selection, comedy battles, solo performances, and duels.
Early 2018 saw Komissarenko teaming up with Nuralan Saburov for the musical television show "Studiya Soyuz." They showcased their improvisational skills and competed in identifying songs. Komissarenko emerged victorious, besting Saburov 5:1.
Continued Success and Activism
Throughout 2019, Komissarenko remained active in Stand Up performances, leaving a lasting impression on viewers with his routines on unexpected plane departures, bats, and the celebrity divorce of Yevgeny Petrosyan. He also made a second appearance on "Studiya Soyuz," this time facing off against Timofey Morozov.
In January 2020, Komissarenko departed from TNT, citing a desire to pursue independent content creation.

In November 2020, Komissarenko publicly criticized Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in a humorous yet defiant manner. He shared a photo of Lukashenko's meeting with his son, who was clad in a bulletproof vest, and a woman filling out paperwork. "It seems like the authorities came to check if Lukashenko is sane," he quipped, "and he's like, 'Kolya, don't give up!'"
Komissarenko's commentary extended to the protests in Belarus, where he expressed skepticism towards Lukashenko's claims of widespread inebriation among demonstrators. "When 400,000 people took to the streets in Minsk, Lukashenko was like, 'They're all drunk and high,'" he noted. "I wonder, what could a person under the influence possibly want more than to go to a protest? They're like, 'Let's get messed up and go get beaten by riot police!'"
Komissarenko has consistently criticized Lukashenko and his policies, previously joking about the lack of genuine competition in Belarusian elections.
Personal Life
Komissarenko often mentions his girlfriend in his stand-up routines, but he kept her identity a secret for some time. Eventually, it was revealed that she is Alena, a fitness trainer. The couple enjoys spending time together, traveling, and Alena frequently interacts with Komissarenko's family and colleagues.
Reflections and Current Endeavors
In a 2021 interview with Russian journalist Yuri Dud, Komissarenko reflected on the uniqueness of stand-up comedy as a genre where people still dare to speak truth. He acknowledged the difficulty in feigning sincerity on stage, which led him and his fellow comedians to prioritize honesty with their audiences.
Komissarenko admitted that he initially had no intention of addressing the political situation in Belarus, but the intensity of his anger and despair compelled him to speak out. He began experiencing threats from law enforcement.
Despite the challenges, Komissarenko continues to create, releasing a YouTube project titled "Spasibo, u Menya Vse!" (Thank You, I'm Fine!), showcasing his responses to audience questions following concerts. In October, he appeared on the show "Ya Sebya Znayu" (I Know Me).
In January 2022, Komissarenko announced his departure from Russia. During a performance in Kyiv, Ukraine, he spoke about being pursued by the Belarusian KGB and his fears of being kidnapped and extradited to Minsk.
