Montenegrin Statesman and Diplomat
Ljupko Rakočević is a renowned Montenegrin statesman, diplomat, and nuclear physicist. From 2008 to 2011, he served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to the Russian Federation.
Academic and Political Background
Rakočević is a distinguished member of both the Dukljan and Montenegrin Academies of Sciences and Arts. He has a strong academic background in physics, specializing in nuclear physics. Before his diplomatic career, he served as Minister of Education and Science for Montenegro. Rakočević is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro.

In 2008, Rakočević was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to the Russian Federation. He presented his credentials to Vladimir Titov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, on June 5, 2008, and to President Dmitry Medvedev on September 18, 2008.
